B P Rao is a commerce graduate from St Alloysius college Mangalore and secured 4th Rank in Final B Com from Mysore University. He is also a law graduate from Bangalore University. He had excellent academic record in Chartered Accountancy Examination. He became the member of ICAI in the year 1976. He is the senior and founding partner at B P Rao & Co., Chartered Accountants.

He was elected as Member of Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in the year 1982. He was the Treasurer of Southern India Regional Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during the year 1984-85. He was the Chairman of Expert Advisory Committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during the year 1989-90. He was the Chairman of Continuing Education Programme Committee of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during the year 1990-91. He was elected as a Member of Central Council of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in the year 1992 and 1995. He was elected as the Vice President of ICAI for the year 1993-94 and was elected as the President of ICAI for the year 1994-95.

He was Nominated as a Council Member for International Federation of Chartered Accountants (IFAC) for the period of 1995-97. He was also Nominated as member of Membership Committee and WTO Task Force of International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). He was nominated as a member of the Arbitration Committee of Bangalore Stock Exchange. He was a Member in Primary Market Advisory Committee, constituted by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). He was the Chairman of Audit Committee of Karnataka State Cricket Association, Bangalore. He was a Member of Regional Direct Taxes Advisory Committee.

He was a Director in BE-DELFT Electronics Ltd., Poona from 1995 to 2002 was a Director & Chairman of Audit Committee of Board of Directors of State Bank of Mysore, Bangalore from 1997 to 2003. He was a Director in Mysore Sales International Ltd., Bangalore and Numaligarh Refinery Limited. He was also a Director in BgSE Financials Limited from February 2009 to May 2012 and in Bharath Earth Movers Limited from 2017 to 2019. He was appointed as a Director in Bangalore Properties and Securities Ltd (Formerly known as Bangalore Stock Exchange Ltd) as well.

B. SATISH RAO - B.Com, F.C.A, DISA

B. Satish Rao Having completed B.Com, graduation, passed C.A Examination in May 1985. Presently looking after the affairs of the Mysore branch office of the firm. He is having extensive experience in audit, especially in Internal Audits.He served the Mysore branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) under various capacities as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chairman, and Chairman. He has also completed the Certified Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks in 2021.

B. HARISH RAO - B.Sc, F.C.A, DISA

B. Harish Rao Having completed B.Sc., in 1985 from M.G.M College, Udupi, and Mangalore University with the laurel of scoring 100% in Mathematics. Completed the CA course in 1990 securing 41st rank in intermediate examination. He is having wide experience in Corporate Audits and Systems consultancy.

PRASHANTH C - B.Com, F.C.A

Prashanth C having completed B Com from MES College in Bangalore, did his practical training from B P Rao & Co., Bangalore. He has been a member of ICAI since 2004. He has experience in the fields of Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, Direct Tax (including Transfer Pricing), Company Law Matters, Concurrent Audits, Branch Audit and Central Statutory Audits of Banks and is specialized in Taxation of Charitable Trusts and has completed Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from ICAI in 2019, Certified Course on Ind AS from ICAI in 2021 and Certificate Course on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 from ICAI in 2024. He has also completed the Certificate Course on AI - AICA Level 1 from ICAI in 2025.

SRIHARI BHAT - BBM, F.C.A, DISA

Srihari Bhat a graduate from MPM College, Karkala, secured 5th Rank from Mangalore University in 2012 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2017. He has experience in Statutory Audit, Concurrent Audit of Nationalized Banks, Direct Taxation and has specialization in Indirect Taxation. He completed his Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from ICAI in 2019 and completed the Certified Course on Internal Audit from ICAI in 2024.He completed his Diploma in Information Systems Audit (DISA) from ICAI in 2025.

SAMPREETH B S - B.Com, M.Com, A.C.A

Sampreeth B S is a graduate and a post-graduate in Commerce from Mangalore University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2022. He is experienced in the fields of Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, Due Diligence Audits, Audit of Public Sector Undertakings, Ind AS Consultancy, Tax Audits and Bank Branch Audits. He completed the Social Auditors Certification Examination from NISM in 2024. He completed the Certificate Course on Ind AS from ICAI in 2024 and Certificate Course on Internal Audit from ICAI in 2024. He also completed Certificate Course on Public Finance and Government Accounting from ICAI in 2024 and Certificate Course on Concurrent Audit of Banks from ICAI in 2024. In 2025 he completed the Certificate Course on Corporate Social Responsibility Reporting and Impact Assessment from ICAI and Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection from ICAI. Akhilesh Rao B became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in 2025 at the young age of 22 and is the youngest partner of our Firm. He brings a dynamic and insightful approach to his work, with a keen interest in the Start-up ecosystem and Indirect Taxation.
